Imagekind.com Receives $2.5 Million Series A

SEATTLE, WA -- Imagekind.com announced the closing of its series A round, netting $2.5 million in new investment.  The company website provides an online community for creating, selling and buying artwork.

Leading the round was Germany-based Holtzbrinck Ventures, the venture investment arm of the media company of the same name.  Also included in the round were Crosslink Capital and several individual investors.

The company plans to use the proceeds to expand sales and marketing, add to its customer service staff and continue to make operational improvements.  In addition, the company looks to expand internationally.
